United Streaming – One More Year!

United StreamingUnfortunately, APT is no longer paying for United Streaming for Alabama teachers.  Baldwin County teachers, however, can continue to use these great instructional resources for at least one more year.  The district has purchased a one year subscription to United Streaming so for the 2010-2011 school year teachers will still be able to use the 70,000+ video clips and other resources in their classrooms.

Usage of United Streaming by our teachers has grown each year.  Since January, our teachers and students have watched over 40,000 video clips.
What clips are most popular?
The most viewed elementary video is “Chicka Chicka Boom Boom” followed by “Why Blow Your Nose?”  Middle schoolers have been watching “How Scientists Work: What is the Scientific Method?” and the most popular high school clip has been “The Great Age of Exploration.”  Over 2000 clips have been viewed already this month and school is just getting started.
United Streaming is more than just video clips.  The subscription also contains a vast library of high quality images, encyclodepia articles, writing prompts and audio files.  And all of these resources have been tied to the Alabama Courses of Study.
