Gallery 360: Alabama’s podcast treasury now on iTunes

The popular and FREE gallery360 – ALEX’s podcast treasury is NOW available on iTunes U for teachers and students.
The Gallery 360 podcast collection includes video and audio podcasts produced by teachers and students from across the state. For example, Fairhope High students teach about Newton’s 2nd Law, Types of Friction, and Forces. Their Tune in to Neptune podcast is designed to help others understand the make up of Neptune, which will also inform them about how our own planet might have formed. The collection also includes podcasts for math, language arts, social studies and other content areas.
The McWane Science Center has a series of podcasts on teaching about the Gulf oil spill. The Gulf Coast Exploreum has posted several short videos to demonstrate a variety of science concepts such as the Exploding Pumpkin, a Levitating Topand the Candy Flamethrower.

ALEX is Alabama’s educational web portal where teachers and administrators can find courses of study, lesson plans, and web resources aligned to Alabama Course of Study content standards. The ALEX database contains over 60,000 links to resources, including over 2,100 fully-developed lesson plans from Alabama teachers with more being uploaded daily.
