Discovery Education is Back!

Great news! Baldwin County has purchased a new subscription to Discovery Education. With this new subscription we will have more  resources than ever before. Currently we are working on getting the final pieces in place for the new features but the video streaming part the district had a few years ago is back and ready to go. Also we have created a link for students to access their own personal accounts through Moodle. Now students will be able to access Discovery Education resources on their own without having to log in to a separate site. They can simply log into Moodle, click the Student Access to Discovery Education link, and be taken right to the site. They will be logged in to their student page  and ready to go. The goal is to cut down on the number of places a student has to remember a user name and password.

Over this next year we will be working with schools to extend what Discovery Education can do for us. The last time we purchased the program we focused almost exclusively on what teaches could do with it. This time around we plan to focus more on what teachers can set up for students to do in Discovery. It should make for a very exciting year. Keep on the look out for other announcements about products from Discovery that we are working to get implemented.
