Is there ever a time that it is okay to tell a lie? Is there such a thing as a small lie or a big lie?

I do not think that there is a right time to lie. You should be able to go through life without having to tell a lie. Just make sure you are careful enough that you do not tell one. I do not think there is such a thing as a big or small lie. All lies should be considered the same size. If not, kids will think that it is okay to tell a little lie. Also, it is a sin against God to tell any lie.

No, I don’t think there is ever a time to lie because no matter what you say it’s still a lie. There is no such thing as a big lie or a small lie it’s still a lie. That’s why I think there is ever a time that it’s okay to lie. Hannah Vaughn

I DO NOT BELIEVE YOU SHOULD LIE BUT… LETS SAY YOU ARE THROWING A FRIENDS SUPRISE PARTY AND YOU TELL HER YOU ARE TAKEN HER TO SEE A MOVIE THATS A GOOD LIE.IF YOU TELL YOUR MOM YOU DID THE DISHES BUT U DID NOT THATS A BAD LIE.LETS SAY YOU LOST SOMETHING BUT YOU TELL YOUR MOM YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS THEN YOUR DAD ASKED YOU SO YOU MUST REMEMBER WHAT YOU TOLD YOUR MOM THEN IT TURNS IN TO AN EVEN BIGGER LIE.

No, it s best to stick with the truth. You will get in less trouble if you tell the truth. No, a lie is always a big lie.

No i do not think that there is ever a good time to lie beacouse it is allways good to tell the truth beacouse it is never good to tell a lie beacouse it might be anemgercy and somebody asks you a queston and you lie you could mak the emgercy even worse.

It is sometimes ok to lie because what if it is a life or death problem.I do not think there is a small lie but I do think there is big lie because if your mother says to take out the trash and yousay an alien eat it now that would be a big lie.

I think there is no good time to tell a lie… I think that you shouldn’t lie..
There are times when you lie and its ok. I you are throwing a birthday party for a friend and you lie to them and say that we are going out to eat for their birthday then thats ok to tell a lie.. I don’t think there is such thing as a small lie and a big lie. Either way you are still telling a lie no matter what. If you tell your mom that you made a A+ on the test and you failed it, that is a bad lie.

Although it is wrong to lie, there is a good time to tell a lie. What if you are in a life or death situation, or you plan to take your friend to the movies but you say you are going to take them to a restaurant, those are good lies! Telling your parents you don’t have any homework but you have a lot that you haven’t even attempted to start it, that’s a bad lie. You should stick to speaking the truth because it will keep you out of a lot of trouble!
