Ancient Greece
If a person from ancient Greece were to “time travel” to America today, what are some things that he or she might find that would be familiar?

Well the things that we do are not similr at all but some things that they could remember the olympics and sporting events and much more.

I would think that the columns on the buildings would be similar ,because as we all saw in the story, most of their buldings had columns on them. For example,there are about maybe 7 columns on the Lincoln Memorial building in Washington D.C. In addition to that, there are also tiles in the selection that are similar to the present ones now. For example, on page 679, there are some flowered tiles on the edges of the door. Plus, there is a painting of two dolphins on the wall that seem similar to what we have all probably seen. (Minoan design)

One of the familiar things would be the Olympics. In ancient greece they had footraces, chariot races, longjump, and javeline. here we have diffrent sports played but many of the same. We also have empires, or a group of cities. We call them states and countries, but it is almost the same. These are all things that are similar to Acient Greece in America today.

Well I think their is a lot of stuff that will be familiar to them. I think they would remember the storts and a lot more other stuff they would remember if they went Time Traveling to the America Today.

I would think the time traveler would be familiar with different things like books and paintings like Danielle said about the dolphins.He would also be familiar with thekinds of plants and animal life.I also think they would be familiar with weapons like spears and knives.Those are a few things that a time travler would find similar.

I think they would find use today playing sports like they did back then. Also find use doing plays like they did. Also the building they lived in back then like the ones in our story.

I agree with Danielles she told us about how their building back then are still here. Also on how she gave us examples for us to look in our reading book. Good job Danielle.
