Saw this on Pinerest (My new favorite site) and had to decorate my door like this!

 My class illustrates the book on Rudolph’s nose being different colors.  They work with a partner to make a deer.  Each deer has one of the poems about the color of Rudolph’s nose.  The noses are on velcro to make the board interactive.  Each team is given 3 triangles to cut out and place from biggest to smallest for the trees.

  We made fall trees and scarecrows for display in the hallway.

Who’s the scariest in our class?  Each student is shown as a scare crow saying: Not me….Must be…..next student’s name.

I use the book The Kissing Hand the first week of school.  We make a class book pictured here with Chester.  We also talk about colors and shapes while making our Chester pictures.

This is the bulletin board outside my door that I begin the year with.  I use it as a backdrop to take my students’ 1st day pictures.
