We have done two experiments with balancing. In each experiment there was a fulcrum, beam, and weight. Explain what you learned about placing the fulcrum and the weight.





We enjoyed a Thanksgiving feast that was very different. Each student brought in a canned food item. We put each item in the crock pot with a magic “Stone” and let it brewit was Delicious! We also visited the 6th grade students and used our Thanksgiving retell bracelets to share thestory of the first thanksgiving.





Veteran’s Day is November 11th. What is Veteran’s Day? Why is it so important to celebrate?

Our first AMSTI science kit this year is Soil. We have learned about 3 different types of soil: Clay, Sand, and Humus. We have been experimenting with dry and wet soil. We have learned that the soils do change when wet. We have also learned that worms are important for the soil and that they help break down orangic materials.
