Last week in project jubilee we learned about Australia. We are going to do a presentation on a subject about Australia, like The Great Barrier Reef, Sydney, Kangaroos, etc. I’m doing mine on Sydney. We also did our other project which we will do on podcasts. A podcast is like a presentation but you don’t see anything you hear about the subject. It is on medieval times like knights, guilds, castles, or important people during that time. We are also about to start CSI. It is crime solving on the crime scene. We have tried logic puzzles just like we will do when we start.

Hey! This is Kirsten, and I’m going to tell you what we did in Project Jubilee last week. We started painting the patterns on our fish that we made out of empty soda bottles. We also saw a really cool anamorphic optical illusion with candles. It looked like a cube, but when you looked at it at a certain angle you could see that it was all just on the ground. We started on our wiki, and talked about our famous jazz artists. Mine is Stan Getz. He played the saxophone. He got his first one from his dad. That’s my blog!!!

Hi it is Caleb again. Yesterday I had so much fun in Mrs.Healds room. We did a lot of stuff . Me, Joseph, and Sam got really dizzy because we were doing kumihimo and we were walking around the table in Mrs.Healds room. Then we made a fish out of a bottle, then we painted the inside of it.We painted the inside of the fish because if we painted the outside all the paint would be everywhere. We also did some kumihimo.Kumihimo is the historic art of braiding. We also learned about glassblowing.Dale Chihuly is a realy great artist with glass.

Hi my name is Shavon. Since sixth grade has started, in Project Jubilee, we’ve been learning about optical illusions and how its just your eyes that make you think that you’ve seen somthing odd. We have also been learning about jazz music and musicians. For homework we have to research a famous musician. I got Nina Simon. This project is really fun and I really look forward to doing more !

Optical Illusions
Hi my name is Delanie! Optical illusions are so fun to see! They look really cool! Your eyes freak you out when you look at the picture in a way that makes you want to see thing that you would never usually see without human eyes so it’s actually freaky but cool! They make me sick sometimes, it depends on the illusion like if it is spinning those are the worst ones for me. They’re weird because when you look at them at first they’re not moving but once you stare at them for a pretty long time some of them start to sometimes move faster and faster by the second! Optical illusions are fun pictures that are really fun to look at!

Hi, I’m Jacob B. Let me tell you about the opera we watched called Pirates of Penzance. It was weird yet fun to watch. It’s about a man, named Fredrick, who was suppose to be an apprentice of a pilot but the nurse, Ruth, was hard of hearing so she thought that he was suppose to be an apprentice of a pirate. So he was suppose to be let free at age 21, but he was born on leap year. He fell in love with an orphan, named Mabel, but cant be with her because he’s a pirate. Finally, at the end they all found out that the pirates were really nobleman who did something wrong.

Hi, I’m Reagan. I’m in Project Jubilee. We were practicing Optical Illusions. I was working on a hand Optical Illusion. If you were at my school, near the Project Jubilee classroom, they are hanging up in the Hallway. They are very creative and colorful. I enjoy them very much. We are also studying Jazz Artists. We were able to choose who we wanted to do a report on, from a list our Project Jubilee teacher chose out, there were many to choose from. I chose Dizzy Gillespie. None of us, 6th graders have started our report yet. I can’t wait to start. I really hope that Dizzy Gillespie is a saxophone player. I am interested in Saxophones very much. Because this is my first blog post, it might not be as good as the others I will post this year. Thanks for reading though, I have more to talk about, I’m not just ending there. Project Jubilee is a great honor to be in. I really love it. I have been in it since 5th grade. It is a very fun thing to be able to get into. There are also alot of other classes to get into here, at my school. Now, I hope you liked this post. Thanks for reading, once again.
Catch ya later,
Reagan!
