A Day in the Life of a Gifted Education Class

Tuesday’s Class

March 6th, 2012 by Abigail

Here in Project Jubilee, we are learning new ways of art. We are learning about Zentangle, It is sort of like doodling. Another type of art, Tamari Balls we have not gotten to the final stage yet but we have covered them in yarn and thread, we might get to sew on the pattern this week. We are starting to learn more about Australia, we are going to go on a new website Mrs. Heal has found, it’s called Live Binders. Each student is assigned a topic then, there is a tab with your topic on it. Then, there is a sub tab with the student’s name on them. Finally, you add your information about your topic.

PJ!

February 28th, 2012 by carter

Last week in Project Jubilee was my fourth class. We learned about a crime dealing with Mrs. Moneybags. We found out that her nephew was the one who changed the will. We also learned about Shakespeare. We read a book about him and one of his plays. Then Mrs. Heald took out her iPad and read off to us some insults, like one was Maggot Pie which made the whole class start laughing. Then for the rest of the day we took out the games and started playing, and that’s what we did for the rest of the day.

Hi I’m going to be telling you some new things I would like to learn in PJ, I would like to learn how computers work and how they know what they’re supposed to do, click, what to type, and where to go to online. The reason I would like to know how a computer does all things it does is ,because my dad works in technology.

Project Jubilee Today

February 3rd, 2012 by Ben

Today we learned about Australia and we learned cool facts like what kinds of animals live there. We learned about the deserts the Sydney Oprah House. Later we got to take a quiz with the Active Expressions.

One of the other things we learned is forensics like how investigaters solve crimes and track who did the crime. This was very interesting to learn about because I am very interested in forensics. We got to solve a mystery about who stole the ladys money. Soon we will be going on a field trip to see A Midsummer Night’s Dream play at Trojan Hall.

We had lots of fun today at Project Jubilee.

MY Two Days at PJ :0

January 24th, 2012 by michael

Hi, my name is Michael and I’m Mrs. Newton, Mrs. Henderson, and Mrs. Curington’s PJ blogger. My day at PJ started by preparing for class. Right after that we got out the hand helds.  I liked learning about Australia. One day I’d like to go see the Out Back (I fit in suitcases).  On my second day of PJ we did a little more on Australia. My favorite part of that day was talking about my person from the renaissance. My person’s name is Filipo Brunelleschi.  He was a famous artist, sculptor, and an architect. Here’s a little more he died at the age of 69 and was born in Florence, Italy.

Hi my name is Lindsey. I love project jubilee because we do a lot of projects we get a lot of fun homework. Mrs. Heald has to do a lot of explaining to do to us 4th graders. Mrs. Heald is really great at her job. She is the best project jubilee teacher ever. In Loper/Morris class, we have 12 students and 1 moved away. Our shields turned out great. I was the only one who did a lozenge in my group. We have a lot of fun games and activities we do. I love project jubilee and I always will.

Behind the Scenes of Project Jubilee.

January 18th, 2012 by Lauren

this week, in PJ we worked on our Coat of Arms. Another thing we worked on was our Optical Illusions. Then, we started C.S.I worksheets. We even got to do the frist part of Miss Moneybags’s Case. On Thursday, we got in some chess for the day. We started to gather information to start out our podcasts. You can have many subjects such as, King Arthur, or Canute the Great. You get two things, an event and a person. The podcasts are supposed to be on mediveal times. That is what we did for Project Jubilee. What did you do?
